Mattel (MAT) Releases Earnings Results, Beats Expectations By $0.04 EPS

Mattel (MAT) reported quarterly earnings results on Wednesday, Jul-20-2016. The company said it had a profit of $-0.02 Earnings per Share for the quarter. The results exceeded Wall Street expectations beating the analyst consensus estimate by $0.04. Analysts had a consensus of $-0.06. The company posted revenue of $957.30 million in the period, compared to analysts expectations of $936.69 million. The company’s revenue was down -3.1% compared to the same quarter last year. During the same quarter in the previous year, the company posted $0.01 EPS.

Mattel closed down -0.33 points or -1.00% at $32.63 with 42,41,068 shares getting traded on Monday. Post opening the session at $32.93, the shares hit an intraday low of $32.46 and an intraday high of $32.93 and the price fluctuated in this range throughout the day.Shares ended Monday session in Red.
