Xilinx (XLNX) Releases Earnings Results, Beats Expectations By $0.05 EPS

Xilinx (XLNX) reported quarterly earnings results on Wednesday, Jul-27-2016. The company said it had a profit of $0.61 Earnings per Share for the quarter. The results exceeded Wall Street expectations beating the analyst consensus estimate by $0.05. Analysts had a consensus of $0.56. The company posted revenue of $574.90 million in the period, compared to analysts expectations of $571.07 million. The company’s revenue was up 4.7% compared to the same quarter last year. During the same quarter in the previous year, the company posted $0.55 EPS.

Many Wall Street Analysts have commented on Xilinx. Xilinx was Downgraded by Goldman to ” Neutral” on Jun 2, 2016.

Xilinx opened for trading at $50 and hit $51.435 on the upside on Thursday, eventually ending the session at $51.09, with a gain of 2.51% or 1.25 points. The heightened volatility saw the trading volume jump to 57,61,425 shares. Company has a market cap of $12,963 M.
