America's Car-Mart (CRMT) Releases Earnings Results, Beats Expectations By $0.41 EPS

America's Car-Mart (CRMT) reported quarterly earnings results on Thursday, Aug-18-2016. The company said it had a profit of $0.87 Earnings per Share for the quarter. The results exceeded Wall Street expectations beating the analyst consensus estimate by $0.41. Analysts had a consensus of $0.46. The company posted revenue of $145.80 million in the period, compared to analysts expectations of $154.36 million. The company’s revenue was up 2.0% compared to the same quarter last year. During the same quarter in the previous year, the company posted $0.52 EPS.

America's Car-Mart closed down -1.89 points or -5.56% at $32.12 with 62,531 shares getting traded on Wednesday. Post opening the session at $33.89, the shares hit an intraday low of $32.01 and an intraday high of $33.97 and the price fluctuated in this range throughout the day.Shares ended Wednesday session in Red.
