NiSource (NI) Releases Earnings Results, Beats Expectations By $0.02 EPS

NiSource (NI) reported quarterly earnings results on Tuesday, Aug-2-2016. The company said it had a profit of $0.09 Earnings per Share for the quarter. The results exceeded Wall Street expectations beating the analyst consensus estimate by $0.02. Analysts had a consensus of $0.07. Analysts expectations of $1044.40 million. During the same quarter in the previous year, the company posted $0.18 EPS.

Many Wall Street Analysts have commented on NiSource. NiSource was Downgraded by Jefferies to ” Underperform” on Jul 25, 2016. Company shares were Downgraded by UBS on Jul 8, 2016 to ” Neutral”, Firm has raised the Price Target to $ 27 from a previous price target of $25 .

NiSource closed down -0.09 points or -0.35% at $25.66 with 71,05,925 shares getting traded on Friday. Post opening the session at $25.73, the shares hit an intraday low of $25.62 and an intraday high of $25.89 and the price fluctuated in this range throughout the day.Shares ended Friday session in Red.
