Vail Resorts (MTN) Releases Earnings Results, Misses Expectations By $-0.15 EPS

Vail Resorts (MTN) announced its most recent quarterly financial results on Monday, Sep-26-2016. MTN reported $-1.80 earnings per share for the quarter, missing the analyst consensus estimate by $-0.15. Analysts had a consensus of $-1.65. The company posted revenue of $179.90 million in the period, compared to analysts expectations of $171.02 million. MTN’s revenue was up 11.0% compared to the same quarter last year. During the same quarter in the previous year, the company posted $-1.92 EPS.

Vail Resorts opened for trading at $162.42 and hit $162.56 on the upside on Thursday, eventually ending the session at $161.96, with a gain of 0.43% or 0.7 points. The heightened volatility saw the trading volume jump to 2,31,467 shares. Company has a market cap of $5,857 M.
