CIT Group (CIT) is Downgraded by Stifel to Hold, Raises Price Target to $ 41

CIT Group (CIT) was Downgraded by Stifel to ” Hold” according to the research note released today. The brokerage firm has raised the Price Target to $ 41 from a previous price target of $40 . Earlier the firm had a rating of “Buy ” on the company shares. Stifel advised their investors in a research report released on Oct 7, 2016.

On the company’s financial health, CIT Group reported $0.90 EPS for the quarter, beating the analyst consensus estimate by $ 0.12 according to the earnings call on Jul 28, 2016. Analyst had a consensus of $0.78. The company had revenue of $645.10 million for the quarter, compared to analysts expectations of $628.85 million. The company’s revenue was up 58.7% compared to the same quarter last year. During the same quarter in the previous year, the company posted $0.66 EPS.

CIT Group opened for trading at $36.3 and hit $36.55 on the upside on Tuesday, eventually ending the session at $36.26, with a gain of 0.19% or 0.07 points. The heightened volatility saw the trading volume jump to 13,79,135 shares. Company has a market cap of $7,324 M.
