In U.S. people are demanding Trump to his tax return plans public, for which protests are going on Saturday.
Trump recently said that U.S. people don’t care about his tax returns at all, on contrary a poll shows 74% Americans are in favor of releasing them. Calls from many lawmakers have been made to make tax returns public. In past 40 years, this has done by both every president and presidential nominee. Also, a petition has been signed by more than 1 million signatures demanding Trump to release his returns.
With White House giving no indications on Trump releasing his returns, critics are making noise.
There is no way that one can tell how many people are going to attend the protests. According to Facebook event pages, in some of the largest cities, the assumption is that anywhere more than 20,000 people could attend. However, many cities were only able to draw people fewer than 100.
The Tax March website reads, “We march to demand that the president release his returns, as he has repeatedly promised, but failed, to do.”We march because it is in the best interest of the American people to know what financial entanglements and conflicts of interest our leaders have”.
